how did you stand up for kannada

I wanted to tell you one instance where I felt really proud of this tamil friend of mine when he was telling all of his other tamil friends that he speaks kannada amoung our kannada friends .. He is tamilian from TN. We are in Sunnyvale, CA .. All I did was to talk to him in Kannada and told him that I feel comfortable with kannada ..

Tell them .. they will listen .. Just tell them what your preference is .. which is Kannada.

Thanks for this website. One big change that I made after many days is that I started playing kannada songs in front of my non-kannada friends. Earlier, I used feel uneasy to play kannada songs in front of non-kannadigas. But now, I think that its time they start learning kannada, they lived here for long. I dont care about that old feeling any more .. Thanks for creating a forum like this.

To have kannada, implemented, I want to reemphasize this cannot be done by force, or strikes. This can be done , all kannadigas having pride in their language, and speak kannada in front of others irrespective of whether they understand or not, This may be irritating but for sometimes, if a hindi guy, does not bother whether you understand or not, we should also follow similar trategies.
